I've come to the painful conclusion this week that most of my frustration with my kids is not because they are terribly disobedient, trust me they have their moments but they are good kids. Instead, it's because of my own laziness.
Sometimes we, as moms, stretch ourselves too thin and get stressed out. Not only do we then snap at everyone more easily, we also tend to get lax in some areas which in turn trickles into everything.
My frustration is mostly because I'm not preparing as much as I used to in order to avoid the times I know will be difficult and instead of being consistent in our routine and disciplining I've gotten lax and now they are just confused, not rebellious.
Time to revamp and stop making excuses.
Yes, I'm tired, but I'm always tired.
Yes, I'm outnumbered but that is not going to change anytime soon.
Yes, I want to be happy and productive again, and everyone else needs that from me.
If I do my part, they can more easily do theirs.
